Gourmet chocolate gift baskets

Gourmet chocolate gift baskets, while always a welcome treat, are often very expensive. Thankfully, this is not the case with the subject of this product review, the San Francisco Chocolate Factory Gift Assortment, which is an unbeatable value at $32.99. First of note is that the gift assortment is not actually a chocolate gift basket, because there is no basket included, but rather a decorative box which presents this gourmet gift assortment quite nicely. If you want to add some extra wow you might want to arrange the gifts in your own basket for presentation to the recipient. What is really important, however, is what is inside, and the nice box that these goodies are packaged in will do for almost any gift-giving situation. Now to the heart, or more appropriately, stomach of this review, namely what's inside the delectable assortment of chocolate gifts from SF Chocolate Factory?
First and in this writers opinion, BEST are the two Double Chocolate Vodka Earthquake Cakes that are included. Rum cake is old news, but the masters at SF Chocolate Factory have taken out the rum and replaced it with Stolichnayas Vodka, arguably the best triple-distilled vodka in the world. The dense, creamy and buttery chocolate cake soaks the Stoli right up and makes for a really wonderful new taste sensation. Remember there are two, so if you do decide to take the gift assortment out of the box to create a chocolate gift basket, you may want to keep one for your own consumption. Or, considering the low price of this package, you can use your spare change to order an Earthquake Cake or two for yourself.
Also in the box is an assortment of chocolates to satisfy any taste. If milk chocolate tickles your fancy there are two beautifully designed tins, one with a cable car design and the other with a Golden Gate Bridge theme, which both contain the highest quality milk chocolate. There are also three original SF Chocolate bars and a Fishermans Wharf tin design with high-cocoa content dark chocolate. Finally, also included are a SF Chocolate Factory Limited Edition Coffee Mug and a set of nine beautiful post-cards. When finished eating the chocolate goodies, the recipient of your gift will always be reminded of what you gave when drinking coffee out of the handsome mug. Happy Gifting!
